Indoor gardening under lights is a great way to grow fresh vegetables all year round or grow other plants and herbs that need ideal conditions. If you think about it the problem with most lighting systems is that while they support taller growing plants they tend to not maximize space very well. And then there is the OGarden, where leafy plants and herbs, but no root vegetables are grown inside a chamber of a slowly revolving wheel. You plant the seeds in a coconut matting, make sure there is enough water and liquid fertilizer in the tank (once a week) and that’s just about it. The roots are automatically fed with water and organic liquid fertilizer, while the motion makes the plant stalks strong and vibrant. The 125W CFL grow light lamp placed in the center of the wheel will give the plants all the light they need. OGarden, which takes about half a square meter of space, turns on and off automatically in order to follow the plants’ cycles. You can expect to harvest your herbs and vegetables in 30 to 40 days.
